Challenging course with trees, streams, and ponds to negotiate on a number of holes. Placing of tee shots can be quite important on number of dog-legged and tree obscured holes. Greens were in good condition when we played, considering the hot dry weather. A couple of long walks between holes with the course split by two roads. Beautiful scenery around the course. Food and service in the clubhouse were very good.

Really nice course. Plenty to test all levels of golfer. Lots of undulating fairways that test the legs after 18 holes, but it was in the high 20s when we played! Would go back again, but wait for some cooler weather.

Held our annual Black Tie and Ball Gown Dinner Dance for the Local Branch of The RBL in March 23. The 4 course meal was amazing, service excellent, all staff went above and beyond at Celebrate Catering Ltd. A fab room with a view

Went to a Christmas party. The venue was nicely decorated, dance floor a decent size although the tables were quite close together. The food was nice but a choice of strange flavours for the starter buffet. Also food served on a small table with about 70 guests having to queue between the dinner tables. Too crowded and awkward. The drinks weren’t nice at all. All quite overpriced but seemed cheap value. No choice of wines - one of each colour. At £21 a bottle too, it really wasn’t pleasant. For £30 each for a party night, I expected better quality. Sorry.

Just had my Lady Captains Away day here and must congratulate the staff for making us very welcome. We had a lovely day, the course was a challenge for some, some tricky and interesting holes. A few too many blind holes for those who haven’t played before ! The greens were a little bit too slow for our liking. The catering team were fantastic. With excellent food served on time and delicious. The afternoon tea and salmon were a big hit with us all. We even had to take some doggy bags home. Great value and a lovely day. Thanks. Good course that’s well maintained. Back nine is more interesting than the front nine, which is primarily straight par 4s with tight tree-lined fairways. Great views of the surrounding hills and nearby reservoir. Will definitely play again. Monday tee times were half price for visitors which was a really great deal and a good incentive to give the place a go.
